It's the start of the 4th form (Year 10) for Nathan and his friend Simon who scores a soccer goal from his new wheelchair.

Nathan walks the dog. Fiona's in a whiney mood because Mum can't afford her new netball boots. Simon hogs his time with Brady and then reads out an amazing poem.
Simon has to go back to hospital. He takes over the lesson from Mr Rata, telling the class about his first experiences there.
Nathan visits Simon who is tidying his bedroom before going into hospital. Nathan goes to the hospital with the family and chats with Simon's big sister, Keri.
Simon's dislocated his shoulder and has to stay on in hospital. Nathan, Haaare, Todd and Jason visit him and play role playing games.
Nathan insists that Simon be in the class video about suffragettes. When he wheels in he ends up being filmed with Brady on his lap. Simon's off to the Paratai Home for the Disabled in the holidays. Nathan's going to visit his Dad.
Nathan spends a week with his Dad and his girlfriend, Emma. Dad gives him a letter for his Mum. Simon gets back from camp looking thinner. Nathan's still keen on Brady. Simon has feeling for girls too.
Alex is in a wheelchair after a BMX accident. The class discuss television shows. Simon hates telethons - he wants the same world as others, not pity.
Nathan visits Simon when he's babysitting his cousin Aaron. Simon is great with the baby and the family are all moved. Kirsti tells Nathan more about her brother.

Nathan arrives home to learn from his Mum that Simon has died. Everyone is very supportive, apart from Brady. Nathan goes with Haare, Todd and Jason to say goodbye to Simon at the Shaw's house.
